Sound branding package for the Ubuntu Sound Theme Competition.
Ubuntu is a computer operating system distributed as free and open source software. It is named after the Southern African philosophy of Ubuntu (“humanity towards others”).
The Ubuntu design team was looking for a sound theme that is subtle, restrained and professional. Giving the Ubuntu Operating System an air of distinction and maturity.
The following sound package was designed with the above guidelines in mind, and features several different variations of these sound events:
→ Desktop Ready (Computer’s booted up and it’s waiting for login/password)
→ Desktop Login (‘Ubuntu Operating System Startup Sound’)
→ Instant Messaging (One of your contacts wants your attention)
→ Email (Sound alert when Email has been received)
→ Error (Error sound / invalid request)
